friendi.ca/features/ seriously, this is all the stuff that we wish we had that's already in here. i guess the main thing missing that would be nice is the public feed flying by, but from what i hear it isn't really too great anymore

@KitRedgrave "Server-to-server military grade message encryption (on supported networks)" :O

@shel @kitredgrave Frendica is nice - but it lacks proper federation with the rest of us..
@stitchxd @kitredgrave @shel They federate just fine, they're just a very small network.  The UI never really appealed to people in the same way qvitter did, or mastodon's tweetdeck-alike UI.

@maiyannah @stitchxd @KitRedgrave yeah the front-end is really offputting on friendica, at least the last time i looked

but we could always fork it or hubzilla and give it a better back-end

@KitRedgrave @stitchxd @maiyannah i mean qvitter is PHP.... friendica is PHP... we could probably make a version of friendica that uses qvitter.... or pleroma idk

@maiyannah @stitchxd @KitRedgrave idk if the mastodon-fe could be reworked onto friendica or hubzilla but.... maybe :V

actually has a fairly flexible system for templating, though it requires some familiarity with the system's conventions to write your own unique widgets from scratch.

Still, in theory you could write a Tweetdeck-like UI for it; the question is whether you would actually want to, given that the platform lends itself to long-form content.
