Is there a good way to get a video camera to start recording at a specific time of day?

@DenubisX Yeah, that's fair.
This like of thinking initially started out as "how do I record a video of myself waking up to an alarm clock?"

I guess a motion-activated camera might work. Or a Raspberry Pi with a video input and scripts.

@deadsuperhero @DenubisX some camcorders allow you to save the video-in-progress on your computer instead of on a flash drive, I'd do that and leave the camera running all night instead, you can always trim the video (assuming you have enough space on your computer)

@deadsuperhero Cron and ffmpeg on Ubuntu Touch ;) Or just use a laptop or raspberry pi connected to a webcam.

@deadsuperhero I don't have an answer, but somehow, people get cameras to start recording once motion occurs. Depending on how much electronics work you might wish to do, maybe you can start by replacing the motion-activator with a timer.

@deadsuperhero you could try surveillance software
