Looks very much like birdsite but much more powerful.
Recommended users? I wonder who decides.
Was it difficult to install, has it fallen over and does it chew up memory? ๐
@fitheach Unfortunately I experienced a blocker in using it on localhost that basically prevented me from registering a user. I suspect that some form of validation on user names wasn't working properly, and prevented me from signing up.
However, the flagship instance works perfectly well, and that's what I've been exploring today.

I looked at https://misskey.xyz/ a couple of days ago but left in a huff because the website told me:
"Your browser (or your OS) seems outdated..."
I wasn't going to return but looking at your screenshots piqued my interest. I'll either fiddle my agent string or download Firefox latest.
@fitheach I'm definitely writing up a review. They've done a great job of developing a smooth UI that feels unique.

I eventually got on. Firefox 50 ESR wouldn't work at all, FF 60 did work as did Chromium 61.x.
I wonder about adoption rates for new platforms when they require last weeks browser release as a minimum.
Misskey sign-up didn't require an email address, is spam not a problem in Japan?
