Alternative #Mastodon frontends:
* Halcyon
* Pinafore
* Brutaldon
Are there any others that people are aware of?
@marsxyz
https://brutaldon.online webclient brutalist type web1. 0
@deadsuperhero
@deadsuperhero Naumanni https://github.com/naumanni/naumanni (multi-account support)
@deadsuperhero Wow I just tried Halcyon after I saw your toot and that really impressive
@deadsuperhero A desktop frontend: https://github.com/bleakgrey/tootle
@PifyZ I'd classify that more as a "client" than a frontend, but I am interested in learning about clients, too.
@deadsuperhero My bad.
@deadsuperhero Well, all the apps, like Tusky
@bortzmeyer Yeah, I love Tusky. It's my favorite app out of any mobile app out there.
@deadsuperhero Is there a website/a wiki/a page which list all clients, frontends, mobile app, etc.?
@PifyZ Yeah, this is one that I've found. The page is pretty comprehensive, but I'm sure other apps/clients/frontends exist: https://github.com/tootsuite/documentation/blob/master/Using-Mastodon/Apps.md
@deadsuperhero For a ~2 years software, that's a lot of apps.
@PifyZ Yeah, it's actually pretty wild.
@deadsuperhero
Korutodon runs as a browser plugin. It has its own window system and supports multiple accounts well. It can be a bit lacking in polish however, and I'm not sure it it's under active development.
@deadsuperhero apparently there is also naumanni :)
Halycon sounds like a good idea to bring people over from twitter :D
@deadsuperhero brutaldon 😂🤣
/me is very curious
Artodon (https://gitlab.com/ElenQ/artodon) is another not quite so front endy front end for Mastodon
