TEEN VOGUE REALLY OUT HERE INTRODUCING KARL MARX AND COMMUNISM TO ITS READERS

teenvogue.com/story/who-is-kar

“However, in a Marxist revolution, the proletariat will come together to overthrow the bourgeoisie and ultimately, win the class conflict by taking control over their work, or striking. And if such a revolution occured in Brunt’s classroom, his students would overthrow him as a teacher — and the principal, the superintendent, and so on.”

@thegudtam This is such an odd combination of elements. This is like Seventeen magazine talking about neoliberalism.

I dunno, the teen years are when people are most interested in reading stuff like this - they're becoming politically aware, but aren't totally sure how they want the world to work yet. A good article that introduces new ideas in an understandable way is absolutely appealing. Add to that the fact that Teen Vogue's fashion and lifestyle articles provide a stable and secure baseline so they can afford to take some risks, and things start to make a lot of sense.
